JPW collects four prestigious awards on behalf of clients

CARLSBAD - JPW Communications racked up four more pieces of hardware last month for work completed on behalf of the Port of Redwood City, the City of San Marcos and Western Municipal Water District. 

First, the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) – an alliance of the ports of Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America and the United States – bestowed one of its top honors to the Port of Redwood City for its new website, www.redwoodcityport.com. The Award of Overall Communications Excellence is the top award in AAPA’s competition, awarded to only three ports in the Americas each year. 

“The Port of Redwood City has an ambitious new vision for the future, and JPW Communications was honored to overhaul their ‘front door to the world’ by modernizing their website,” said JPW Founder and President Jenny Windle.  

Second, the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) presented the City of San Marcos with two EPIC awards – the state organization’s highest honor – for the development of the San Marcos Creek project logo and the San Marcos Creek groundbreaking ceremony. JPW Communications is managing communications and the public outreach process for this $104 million capital improvement project, the largest project in City history

“We are thrilled that our collaboration with the City of San Marcos has earned CAPIO’s top award,” continued Windle. “San Marcos is a community that really knows what it means to inform and engage their community. It is rewarding to be part of that effort.” 

CAPIO also honored Western Municipal Water District with an Award of Distinction for its North Well Outreach, another JPW Communications campaign that supported a capital project to re-establish a well site in Murrieta, California.
