Julia Woods has been media-obsessed since birth, which fuels her passion about sharing compelling stories.
An Arkansas native, Julia moved to San Diego in 2017 to root her marketing career in Southern California. The “Natural State” born communicator joins the JPW team with a two year background in public agency and over three years of entrepreneurial experience.
Before starting at JPW, Julia worked with various public sector clients in the San Diego region including the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), North County Transit District (NCTD) and South County Economic Development Council (SCEDC).
Julia guided outreach marketing efforts for MTS and SANDAG iCommute while spending countless hours on the ground communicating with diverse audiences and markets. She also assisted in media relations for SCEDC and assisted in the creation and distribution of press materials.

Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Central Arkansas and is a member of the Ocean Beach Town Council. In her spare time, Julia can be found on the sandy shores of any of San Diego's local beaches or trailblazing on a hike in East County.
